Clean and Affordable Energy
Our world relies mainly on fossil fuel, wood, coal, or animal waste for lighting, cooking
and heating and for driving the wheels of industry. The energy, being used, is the dominant contributor to climate change, accounting for nearly 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
FFH endeavors to decrease this dependence by encouraging the use of renewable sources of energy. For this purpose we:
• Financially support research and development efforts for introducing innovative but cheap technologies for production, storage, and efficient use of renewable energy.
• Provide financial, technical, and advisory support to regions, municipalities, and communities for use of renewable sources like water, municipal waste, bio-methane.
• Provide financial and/or material support to less privileged people for the installation of solar power for domestic use.
• Provide financial assistance for carrying out public awareness campaigns on efficient use of energy.
