Environment Protection and Climate Change

A clean environment ensures good health of all living beings whether it be humans, animals, fish, or plants. FFH is committed to working in partnership with local organizations, municipalities, and communities in caring for the environment and thus enabling all to improve quality of life and health. FFH provides knowledge-based information and advice besides material and financial help for sustainable protection and development of a clean environment. Our special focus is:

• Treating industrial effluents and recycling of hospital and municipal waste.

• Ensuring purity of air and atmosphere

• Keeping groundwater, streams, rivers, and seas clean of pollutants and toxic materials.

• Environment resources management.

Climate change.

The threat of Climate Change is real and the most vulnerable are those living in comparatively poor countries. FFH provides financial and technical help to raise the capacity of poor countries affected or most likely to be affected. We also undertake specific projects, for combating Climate Change, like:

• Increase forests and introduce innovative processes to eliminate dependence on wood.

• Encourage use of renewable energy and energy efficient bulbs and appliances.

• Build climate friendly housing to reduce dependence on heating or cooling.

• Eliminate use of plastic bags

• Encourage use of recycled paper and water

• Control carbon emissions of industry and vehicles.
