General and Technical Education
There is a difference between literacy and education. We at FFH believe it is not enough to be literate and if we want to see an economically sustainable world in which all living beings can live in harmony as just and inclusive societies, education for all is of extreme importance.
But then traditional education, which basically imparts social, scientific and humanistic knowledge, is not enough. Our aim is to make values education, which is equally if not more important, a compulsory part of the curriculum. It is said that an exemplary citizen is made and not born. Values education is the one that teaches members of a society how to be good citizens and respect laws of the land and their fellow citizens.
FFH provides financial, material and technical support to organizations and institutions, for the following :
• Adult education
• School education
• Education through remote learning.
• Mobile schools
• Teacher education and training.
Technical institutes/Vocational training.
Lack of proper technical education and skills training facilities is hampering many from improving their living standards. FFH extends financial and technical support to institutions and organizations, working for providing free of charge technical education and skills training, with the aim of alleviating poverty and creating self-employment opportunities for those graduating. Special attention is given to those who want to acquire extra skills enabling them to change professions.
